The site and app are hosted on infrastructure located in the European Union. Full hosting provider details are available on request at contact@abc-optim.com.
Intellectual property
All content on the site and in the app — text, interface, visual identity, code — is protected by intellectual property law and remains the property of ABC OPTIM unless stated otherwise.
Reproduction or reuse, in whole or in part, without prior written permission is prohibited. Short quotations with a link to the source are welcome.
Privacy policy

What data we process
- Without an account: your routines, settings and progress are stored locally in your browser. They are not sent to our servers.
- With an account: first name and email address, plus a backup of your progress so you can pick it up on another device.
- Analytics: aggregated browsing data (page views, device type, referrer) via Google Analytics.
- Notifications: if you enable them, a technical subscription identifier provided by your browser.
- Feedback: the message you send, and your email address if you choose to leave one.
We collect no health data. The states you report in the app ("I'm scrolling", "I'm overwhelmed") stay on your device and are not tied to your identity.
Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the service and saving your progress — performance of a contract
- Measuring audience and improving the product — legitimate interest
- Sending notifications — consent, revocable at any time
- Replying to your messages — legitimate interest
Retention
Account data is kept while the account is active, then deleted after 12 months of inactivity. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Contact messages are kept for 3 years.
Recipients
Data is neither sold nor rented. It is processed by ABC OPTIM and its technical providers: Google (analytics) and your browser's push notification service.
Cookies and analytics. This site uses Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager, which sets analytics cookies and transfers data to Google. You can opt out at any time by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" signal, or blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your data. To exercise them, write to contact@abc-optim.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
Without an account there's nothing to request: clearing your browser's site data removes everything stored.
Terms of use
Scope
These terms govern use of zigzagbrain.org and the ZigZagBrain app. Using the service means accepting them.
Nature of the service
ZigZagBrain is an organisation and self-support tool for the general public. It is not a medical device. It provides no diagnosis, delivers no treatment, and replaces neither a consultation, nor ongoing care, nor professional support.
The content provided is informational and practical. It does not constitute medical, psychological or therapeutic advice.
Liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of continuous availability or freedom from error.
ABC OPTIM cannot be held liable for:
- inappropriate use of the service, in particular using it as a substitute for medical or psychological care;
- decisions taken by the user on the basis of the content provided;
- any interruption, malfunction or data loss related to hosting, the network, or the user's browser;
- loss of locally stored data if browser data is cleared or the service is used without an account.
It is for the user to judge whether the service suits their own situation, and to consult a health professional if they are facing significant difficulty.
In an emergency. ZigZagBrain is not a crisis support tool. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number — 112 in the EU, 911 in the US. If you are having suicidal thoughts, call 988 in the US, or 3114 in France, free and available 24/7.
Expected use
Users agree not to disrupt the service, not to attempt unauthorised access, and not to extract its content on a large scale or by automated means.
Accounts and termination
Creating an account is optional. Users may request deletion of theirs at any time by writing to contact@abc-optim.com. ABC OPTIM reserves the right to suspend an account in cases of clear abuse.
Changes to the service
The service is under continuous development. Features may change, be modified, or be removed. These terms may be updated; the date of last modification appears at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction.
